PRACTICE DESCRIPTION
Dr. Kwon is a board certified dermatologist practicing general dermatology. Her clinical focus includes:
- General Dermatology
- Total body scans to detect cancerous and precancerous lesions
- Acne, eczema, warts, psoriasis, rosacea, and common skin infections
- Dermatologic Surgery
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Dr. Kwon is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and has authored multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters on dermatological diseases. She is active in teaching residents and medical students in nearby hospitals and has presented her research at numerous local and national medical conferences.
EDUCATION
Dr. Kwon holds a Sc.B. degree in Biology from Brown University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She received her M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where she graduated with distinction and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed an internal medicine internship at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She subsequently received her dermatology residency training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. Dr. Kwon went on to pursue advanced fellowship training in dermatopathology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her dual training gives her an understanding of dermatological disease from both clinical and cellular points of view.
PERSONAL
Dr. Kwon was born in Seoul, South Korea and was raised in the Republic of Panama and in Bergen County, New Jersey. She speaks both Korean and Spanish. As a graduate of Tenafly High School, Dr. Kwon is looking forward to serving the local community.
